Prof. Dr. Mingfang Lu

A distinguished publishing expert and plasma physicist, Professor Dr. Mingfang Lu has a diverse academic profile and has driven major initiatives in the academic publishing industry in China. He worked as the Editor-in-Chief -China of IOP Publishing for 16 years, where he grew the quality contents for publication for over 20 folds and worked in collaboration with organizations such as NSFC, MOST, CAST, CAS, CPS, and top researchers in CAS, Tsinghua University, Peking University, etc. Followed by leading Enago-China in English language support to ESL researchers in their research publications, before taking the current roles as Executive President of AiScholar and President of the AiScholar Institute. He has been advocating the best practice in academic research and publishing and giving author education programs benefitting thousands of researchers of all levels.

Dr. Mingfang Lu obtained his PhD from Tsinghua University in 1995, followed by postdoctoral researches at the Institute of Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences (IOPCAS, 1995 – 1997), the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel (1999 – 2000), and the Swedish Institute of Space Physics (IRF) in Kiruna (April 2000 - December 2001). He also worked as guest professor for a short term at Nihon University on neutron emission research in plasma focus and even chaired a Sino–Polish science exchange program on dense plasma focus physics. Dr. Mingfang Lu's major research achievements include his observation and identification for the first time of a new "plasma instability mode" in the plasma focus device with explanation of its plasma dynamic process and its influence mechanism on the neutron and X-ray emission. Dr. Lu has published more than 30 research papers before 2002 in prestigious journals such as Physical Review E, Journal of Physics D, Review of Scientific Instruments, and IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science, etc.
